Learn more about extraordinary women in Manatee County.
Honoring the women who have shaped the history, politics, culture and industry of Manatee County, the exhibit includes early pioneers Julia “Madame Joe” Atzeroth, the first woman to build a homestead on Terra Ceia, and Myra Hunter Clark, the first female deputy sheriff.
Current community leaders, including Cheri Coryea, the first female Manatee County Administrator, current and former county and city officials and women who currently lead non-profit and business organizations also are included.

Our first Civic Lab focused on Elections. What is the purpose of a primary election? What other elections are scheduled for Manatee County voters this year? What are the options to cast your ballot?
For this month's discussion, we were joined by Michael Bennett, Manatee County Supervisor of Elections - where he gave a brief presentation, followed by time for questions and answers.
